A mix of slow office days, creative confidence, tiny disappointments, encouragement from the right people, and slowly understanding how workplaces work beyond just “doing the job.”

A mix of slow office days, creative confidence, tiny disappointments, encouragement from the right people, and slowly understanding how workplaces work beyond just “doing the job.”

A mix of slow office days, creative confidence, tiny disappointments, encouragement from the right people, and slowly understanding how workplaces work beyond just “doing the job.”

Day 1 - An Empty Office Feels Strange

The week started on a slightly boring note because half my teammates weren’t in office. It was just me and one more person from the team, and honestly, the office felt too quiet. Funny how quickly people become part of your routine. I genuinely missed my team that day. But work, as always, continued — dailies, IPL creatives, “What Happened in 24 Hours”… the usual workflow. Even on low-energy office days, deadlines still show up on time.

Day 1 - An Empty Office Feels Strange

The week started on a slightly boring note because half my teammates weren’t in office. It was just me and one more person from the team, and honestly, the office felt too quiet. Funny how quickly people become part of your routine. I genuinely missed my team that day. But work, as always, continued — dailies, IPL creatives, “What Happened in 24 Hours”… the usual workflow. Even on low-energy office days, deadlines still show up on time.

Day 2 - Locking In

I had one thought in mind today: just because the environment feels slow doesn’t mean my work should become slow too. So I locked in. Fully. Worked on some really cool designs, handled podcast videos, and all the regular tasks that I’m pretty sure everyone reading this blog already knows by now. But today felt different because I was genuinely happy with my work. Not just satisfied - actually proud of what I created. And as a designer, those days matter a lot.

Day 2 - Locking In

I had one thought in mind today: just because the environment feels slow doesn’t mean my work should become slow too. So I locked in. Fully. Worked on some really cool designs, handled podcast videos, and all the regular tasks that I’m pretty sure everyone reading this blog already knows by now. Day 3 - Team Energy is Real

Finallyyyy, my teammates were back in office. The energy instantly changed. I got to catch up with everyone, talk properly, give updates, and it honestly made the day feel lighter. Work-wise, we also started getting Cannes-related content from today, which made things more exciting creatively. I designed a carousel on Alia Bhatt’s Cannes look, and genuinely… it turned out beautiful. One of those creatives where you just sit back after finishing and go, “Okay wow, I made this.”

Not because feedback is bad - but because I had genuinely liked the design. It’s weirdly emotional when something you creatively believe in doesn’t make it to the final grid. But this is where I realized how important good teammates are. Mine immediately hyped me up saying, “Bro, your design is amazing, don’t worry.” And that genuinely helped. Mixed feelings day for sure - a little sad, but also grateful.

And somewhere during the day, it hit me… I’ve officially completed 11 weeks here. ELEVEN. That honestly feels unreal considering how nervous I was on Day 1.

Day 5 - Movie Reviews, Snacks & 11 Weeks Later…

Friday started with dailies and then immediately shifted into back-to-back movie reviews, carousels, and regular chaos. Pretty standard agency life at this point. But thankfully, office-sponsored snacks entered the chat again — which automatically improves workplace morale by at least 70%.
